Yesterday we had some unusual weather for this part of the country – Tornado warnings, 4 confirmed Tornados in the Greater Toronto area and heavy rains.
We were relieved once the storms started to die down!
Once the rain stopped I noticed some of my neighbors outside looking at the sky to the east. When I went out to look there was a huge rainbow at the end of the street, but it was fading fast and you can barely see it in the one picture I took of it before it faded away to nothing.
To the west however, the sky was putting on an amazing show!
The clouds were beautifully light by the low light of the soon to be setting sun.
Take a look at a few of the shots I took.
I love this shot. You can see the clouds and sky reflected in my neighbors window if you look closely. You can also see one of my other neighbors standing on the corner taking pictures as well.
The clouds were moving fast. I think this was one of the first pictures I took from this directions. The pictures below have more clouds and the setting sun gives the clouds a warm golden red glow.
The sky was so beautiful after the storm. It was like a gift after the stress we’d been through the hour before!

Lovely sky! I like how it’s reflected in the window 🙂 Crazy weather huh? We’ve had intense heat, then it turns very cool, then hot again.
If you don’t like the weather, just wait an hour! LOL
BTW, I really like this SU tool and plan to start using it.

Sorry you had such nasty weather; but those photo’s of the sky are awesome. Truly beautiful.
Doing some blog walking, found your link in a group of do follow blogs, and am trying to better understand how things work. I am also a do follow blog, changed the code, added the banner to my blog so folks visiting will know; downloaded the toolbar from FF, but am still a bit puzzled by what colors I’m looking for. Here on your blog, the titles to your posts are blue or really more lavendar; while the names of folks who’ve left comments are red..except Jean Luc Picard. So, does that mean he is not a do follow and the others are do follow? Or is it the reverse? When titles turn blue or purplish what does that mean?
Thanks for your help in advance. Hope you’ll swing by for a visit. I’m anxious to learn about this, been trying to for some time now; but haven’t gotten a straight forward answer about the colors meanings.

Wow, Tricia, beautiful photographs of the forbidding sky at dusk. Eerie, haunting but vibrant and intense. It’s the time of day you wish would linger for hours. Thanks for sharing.

Great shots! I live about 1 km from where one of the tornadoes touched down that day. I remember it clear as day – I was home with the kids and my hubby was out shopping in Mississauga. The wind was so scary!
