Jessica Simpson says her single is influenced by Madonna

There’s been an uproar of complaints against Simpsons latest release “A public Affair” claiming that it sounds like Madonna’s 1994 release “Holiday”.

Jessica confessed this week that her latest single is indeed influenced by Madonna’s song. However Simpson stated that her fans want the retro sound and refuses to apologize for the sound a like song.

She told MTV “I think people are ready to hear something that Madonna used to do. We all need to hear that every now and again. It wasn’t a sample or something I meant to do, but she did influence me and still does today. I hope to have the longevity of her career.”
