Isaiah Washington Returns to set

Washington hasn’t been on the set since January 23rd. That was the day before he issued a statement stating he was seeking counseling “as a necessary step toward understanding why I did what I did and making sure it never happens again.” He didn’t attend the SAG awards ceremony on Sunday and missed picking up his award for Best cast in a Drama. He’s been the center of controversy since he used a homophobic slur which refered to his costar T.R. Knight, who is gay. He then apologized after heavy criticism. “I appreciate the fact that I have been given this opportunity and I remain committed to transforming my negative actions into positive results, personally and professionally,” he said. 
On Thursday Isaiah Washington will return to the set of Grey’s Anatomy. This will be his first time back on the set since he entered counseling for making a homophobic slur.
