Birkhead and Arthur to meet for custody discussion?

I’ve missed a few days posting and celeb news here this week. Sorry to my regular visitors. I’ve been quite ill the last few days and just haven’t been able to get to the blog to update you on all the latest juicy happenings.

Well .. as I’m sure you’ve already heard, Larry Birkhead’s DNA test revealed that he is indeed the father of baby Dannielynn. I’m not the least bit surprised at that news. The way Howard Stern was acting in the last two weeks before the DNA reports were finalized led me to believe that he knew or strongly suspected that he wasn’t the father of Anna Nicoles baby girl.

So what’s happening now? Well, Virgie Arthur, mother of Anna Nicole Smith, had her lawyer, John O’Quinn announce that she and Larry Birkhead will be meeting privately sometime tomorrow. No lawyers will be present while they talk. Hmmm wouldn’t it be interesting if Polycom video conferencing were set in the room and we could all listen in?

The pair are meeting to discuss what they believe will be in the best interest of the baby and to try to make whatever they decide happen. O’Quinn said that they will try to create a custody solution that the court will be likely to approve.

Medical examiner says accidental overdose caused Anna Nicole Smiths Death

ansmith2.jpg A press conference was held earlier today by Seminole Police Department Chief Charlie Tiger. He’s announced that Anna Nicole Smith died of “an accidental overdose with no other criminal element present”.

He went on to say that the police conducted a thorough investigation into the cause of Smith death. The investigation included going over hundreds of hours of video tapes captured by hotel security cameras, and analyzing the laptop contents of Howard K. Stern’s computer. In the end they found nothing that would indicated foul play.

Joshua Perper, the Broward County medical examiner, had earlier declined to make the autopsy results public until he saw the evidence stated that Smiths system contained anti-anxiety and weight reducing drugs, possibly vitamins, methadone and other substances.

Anna Nicole died 6 weeks ago on February 8th in a Hollywood, Florida hotel.

The police chief stated during his press conference that his department found “no evidence of illegal drugs” at the death scene.

On another note, an inquest into the death of Anna Nicole Smith’s son Daniel, who died in September, began today in the Bahamas.

Update – apparently there was a mix of 11 or so over the counter and prescription drugs in Anna Nicole’s system at the time of her death. These drugs included antidepressants, sleeping aids, vitamin B12 and growth hormone.

Findings in Anna Nicole’s death to be announced

anna_nicole_smith_150.JPG If you’re curious about the cause of Anna Nicole Smith’s untimely death you won’t have to wait much longer to hear what killed her. Dr. Joshua Perper, the Florida Medical examiner in charge of the Anna Nicole Smith death investigation, has just announced that he will hold a news conference on Monday at 10:30 am where he will reveal what killed Anna Nicole.

TMZ is reporting that Gary Bitner, spokesperson for the Seminole Police Department, has said that the findings will be a significant announcement, and that “it continues to be a non-criminal, unexplained death investigation.”

Perper’s findings are expected to add a degree of resolution in the death of Anna Nicole Smith.

Anna Nicole’s saga will not end with Monday’s news conference, as DNA testing for the paternity of Dannielynn and likely the upcoming battle for custody is only just beginning.
