Petition asks Schwarzenegger to pardon Paris

paris_hilton3.jpg I know I’m a bit late on this but this has got to be one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard of! Paris Hiltons friend Joshua apparently started a petition, that co-incidentally went up on Paris’ Myspace page asking that California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger pardon her from her 45 day jail sentence.

As you probably know she was sentenced for violating her terms of probation by driving with a suspended license. the punishment, handed down by a Los Angeles Superior Court last Friday, is already under appeal.

On her Myspace page Paris went on to say “I urge all fans and supporters and all that are outraged by injustice to sign this petition,”.

An injustice? Did someone make her get behind the wheel?

The governors office hasn’t viewed the petition but his spokesperson, Aaron McLear told the Associate press on Tuesday “We’ll treat this as we would any other case of this nature, but it would be premature for the governor to get involved until the individual has exhausted his or her judicial remedies,” McLear said.

If she does get pardoned it will just go to show that celebrities or in her case socialites live by different laws that the rest of us.

Northern Canadian Territory a Stars gas station

The northern town of Iqaluit in the Canadian territory Nunavit has become a gas station to the stars.

Iqaluit, population 6,500, is about halfway between Los Angeles and Europe and as a result often ends up being a short re-fueling pit stop for private jets.

Eric Leuthold, 34, runs the Frobisher Bay Touchdown Services, states that “some of the stars don’t even know where they are” when they touch down to fuel up at the station. However stars such as Paul Newman, Bruce Willis, Gwyneth Paltrow, Antonio Banderas, Arnold Schwarzenegger and many others have stepped out and explored the Baffin Island town while they are waiting.

Apparently, when actress Brooke Shields arrived a while back she expressed a desire to spend a night in an igloo. Since all of the residents live in modern housing just as you and I do they had to scramble to build her an igloo. There’s no word as to whether she enjoyed her night in an igloo or not.

Baldwin to pull out of Schwarzenegger documentary

Alec Baldwin’s pulled out of a documentary charting California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s rise to political power because of its Nazi undertones. Baldwin claims he agreed to narrate the film, titled “Running With Arnold,” before learning his script would be accompanied by images of Nazi rallies and the Nazi party paperwork of Schwarzenegger’s father.

Now he’s demanding his voice be removed from the project and has ordered his attorney to issue a cease-and-desist demand against the filmmakers.

In a posting on The Huffington Post website he writes, “The filmmakers hammer Schwarzenegger over his private behavior and his record as governor. But Schwarzenegger deserves to be treated fairly, and the film’s images of Nazi rallies were over the line.”

However, producers insist Baldwin had plenty of opportunities to view footage before recording his part and deny the project is biased against the Republican governor.

Mike Gabrawy says, “What’s really shocking about this situation is that this is not really a critical look at Arnold – there’s a lot more we could’ve done to be critical.”

Some images of the Third Reich have been replaced.
