CNN is reporting that Saddam Hussein is Dead. He was hanged at 9:55 pm, daybreak in Iraq. he’d been lead to the gallows as early as 9:30 pm est and reporters were milling about waiting for word as to whether he’d been hung. Word came down at 10:06 pm Friday evening.

The date and timing of Saddams hanging hasn’t been set yet, but as of late Thursday it was said that when he’s turned over by the American Military to the Iraqi Government he’ll be hanged within 36 hours, and hanged before the start of the Muslim holiday on Sunday.
