I would have guessed some kind of Kalanchoe. We have the common toad lily but I’ve never really looked closely at the buds before and I would have remembered if they looked as striking as yours so you prob. have a different cultivar.

LOL….well, it was a neat picture of flower buds ’til I read your comment. (just kidding!!!!!) Cool!! I like it. Now I would like to see a full blossom. (THAT didn’t sound like a good statement considering! LOLOLOLOL)
