Watching crocus’ bloom
This is a time lapsed video called ” A day in the Life ” , and it is in fact a day in the life of a small cluster of crocus’. Crocus flowers open when the sun hits them in the morning and by the evening the flowers are closed are ready for the long cool night.
I grow crocus in my lawn and to me they are always the first sign of spring. Since they are the first flowers to bloom for me, I keep track of their opening and closings - never quite like this video did, but I enjoy watching them open and close. Now I can just watch this video whenever I want to.
