Gardening Clubs and Gardening Courses

Posted in In The Garden on Dec 23, 2006

I know that the next week and a half will be busy for many of you what with the holidays and all, but for those in cool climates the coming months will be long, and feel even longer as you wait for the gardening season to begin again.

Why not sign up with your local Horticultural Society or Gardening Club? You could even join a Society specific to the type of plant you enjoy most, such as a Rose Society, Orchid Society and so on.

You can attend weekly or monthly meetings and even take garden oriented courses through many of these organizations.

Another great idea, why don’t you begin a master gardening course during these cool winter months. Many Master gardening courses begin in January – which is one reason why I’m bring up this topic now as you might still have a chance to sign up for a course before it’s too late to register.
