Just Joey, Hybrid Tea Rose – bud

I received a number of fantastic comments on this photo today. Thank you very much. It’s a beautiful rose, with a light fragrance. As you can see from the photo above it’s lovely even when it’s just a bud about to open and I can tell you that Just Joey is even more beautiful when it’s fully open. It’s a large flower with 25 to 30 petals I believe. The only unfortunately thing about this rose is that the blooms don’t last long – perhaps three days in warm weather, and 5 in cool weather. Some of the other roses that I grow are much longer lasting.

I regularly publish my photographs…and I really enjoy shooting roses.

This is, I’d say, one of the best photographs of a rose I have ever seen! Absolutely beautiful.

I will be opening an online gallery this week. I’d be interested in your input. Perhaps we can arrange a link exchange?
