I can just smell the air the way you described it. I love old barns, too. Thanks for sharing your silver photo.

Have a great week,

Great photos -- have never been in a barn with tin roof during rain storm but have shovelled wheat from a steel grainery on sweltering hot summer day -- somehow being in the barn during a rainstorm is far more appealing LOL

That is a cool post. I do remember tin roofs too. We use to have those in the older days.
Wasn't able to join the Photo hunters. I was at a loss when I was going to post and all of a sudden I couldn't open my own blogger as I was switched to the new blogger buzz and not the blogger beta. They said blogger beta is already dead and this is the new one. So anyway, no Photo Hunter today but have something special for everyone. It is better than silver and gold. Please do visit if you have the time.

I love being in a barn when it's raining because of the sound it makes when it hits the tin roof!! This is my first time participating in the Photo Hunt...great fun:-)

Welcome to the photo hunt!
I love these tin roofs and wonder how they get them to look so silvery. We have a more "tin" tin roof on the sunroom and the raindrops are quite relaxing. Our cats sleep out there and they don't find the sound as lovely as I do... however, the sound of falling pine cones on the roof is another matter... that can be really loud.
