<description>Golden Anniversaries are special - both for the married couple and the people who share the joy of the celebration. My siblings and I surprised our parents with a rather casual party for their 40th anniversary, but the 50th needed a more formal touch. World War II had kept their wedding austere, while wartime travel restrictions meant only a few people could be present. Fifty years later, Mom &#38; Dad were surrounded by family and friends at a beautiful party.

Good luck on reaching your own golden day, Tricia!
