We didn't get engaged on Valentines, but I did get a second engagement ring for Heather for our first Valentine's together. We got engaged in August, went ring shopping together, and found a ring that we both loved. It was a West Coast Native wolf totem with a pink tourmeline. And we worried that it wouldn't stand the test of time.

So we opted for a very conventional small diamond in quite a plain white gold ring.

But six months later, that wolf and tourmeline were still calling. So Heather got a second engagement ring! And it has stood the test of time after all.
