Hyacinth buds

DSC01754 copy

On Friday, after the scent of blooming hyacinths drew me out of the house I went outside with my camera. There were so many different spring flowers blooming!

I don’t know how many photos I ended up taking but it had to have been at least 50 pictures. I’m so thankful that I have a digital camera as it gives me the ability to take as many photos as I like and discard any that don’t turn out well.

I found this small hyacinth just getting ready to go into bloom. I love how the red tinged mauve buds contrast with the bright green leaves.

This hyacinth does look a little sparse. I’ll have to check on it later today and see if more buds came out. It might be that it’s a new bulb, or one that’s beginning to lose it’s strength. Hyacinth bulbs don’t always have the longest lifespan.

Those are some very lovely colors together too 🙂

I totally agree, what would we do without the digital camera? I especially notice this now when I’ve sol my best one and only have an old, not well functioning one in the meanwhile while looking for a new one!

My hyacinths weren’t real full this year either. I think it may have something to do with the crazy spring weather we had.

Great picture! My hyacinths were just coming out when we got almost 2 feet of snow! Needless to say, they weren”t great this year.

Your hyacinths are beautiful! I agree with you. All of this blogging would be difficult, in not impossible, if we didn’t have are digital cameras!

Small but beautiful! The most beautiful things do not have to be large. I think this is a beautiful little flower and still wish things like that would grow in my garden.

I totally agree with your ideas about picures. I feel that they are so essential to a blog along with video and audio. I am going to start adding those components because I believe that it can add a lot to the texture of the site. Great attention you give to your site!

Thank you Cade. You actually caught me in the middle of putting up a new theme! LOL I guess from your comment that it must be looking ok. 🙂

great picture, you should have a category for all your wonderful pictures because if you are like my mom at all, she has thousands of pictures of all her flowers on the desktop at home. She always is emailing me some of her recent ones and it is true beauty. Just a thought

oh and was that a video from You tube because it didn’t work on my computer. You tube is very sensitive and is the last thing that I add in WordPress before I save and I can’t do anything to it without loading the video again. BUt if you have a better way, let me know
