Hyacinth Macro

Posted in Garden Buzz, Hobbies and Crafts, Photography on May 16, 2007

Many of the regular readers of this site are gardeners, or gardener wannabe’s. Everyone seemed to love my close up photo of the coral colored Hyacinth in one of my recent posts.

I bet you didn’t know that I took it a step further and got even closer. Hyacinth flowers are each less than once inch wide, perhaps as small as half an inch wide. Here’s an extreme closeup of one single hyacinth blossom:

Coral Hyacinth

I got as close to the flower as I could and used the zoom function on my camera. Once I downloaded the photo to my computer I cropped the photo until I got the image you see above.

Interesting? Too close?

I think the photograph is interesting the colour, light and texture make it very interesting. A great close up shot.
As always - a photographic inspiration.
