Im finding this too late - your chives are probally out of bloom by now - but if you collect a bunch of the heads, give them a rinse and then pack them into a jar, fill the jar with white vinegar and let it infuse for as long as you like - you will then have chive blossom vinegar - and its fantastic on salads! Cheers!

I actually have two kinds of chives - the very slender type (not sure what they’re called but they look like thin grass) and garlic chives. I love them both. By the way, I’ve tagged you for a meme at Feeding Time at the Zoo.

Chives are great for many pruposes and they are pretty. I have them in my garden and look forward to seeing them in the spring too.

I love chives. I cook with them often and that is one plant I must include in my herb garden every year!

My chives are about five years old. They rarely bloom, buthey grow year round so I always have a steady supply. I’ve just recently planted one small much of green onions near them, all slightly shaded by my overgrown rosemary.

I almost finished visiting all of the GTS posts on sunday this week. Just now 12:38 Monday morning, so almost, lol!
