Just Joey Bud
Wordless Wednesday
My hybrid tea rose Just Joey is starting to bloom.
It has lovely full blooms when the buds open. Right now there are a few flowers in bud, some just opening like the one above, and a couple that are almost fully open.
For those of you that grow roses what is your favorite rose?

So beautiful. I’m not good in gardening. But I like roses whose color is peach.
Love your pic!

So much promise in a rose bud – wonderful plants to grow. Gorgeous shot!
My favourite rose is Mister Lincoln – a rich deep red and the fragrance! One blossom in the house is all you need….Happy WW, I played too!

I envy people who have the patience and skill to raise roses. I have to stick to Iris and peonies.

Beautiful rose. Is that a palm behind it? My favorite roses are cabbage roses or any antique variety. Right now, my favorite is the chestnut rose.

Riana I have several peach colored roses. I guess I love that color too. That bud photo was from a year or two ago but the rose is budding and blooming now. I’ve just posted a photo of it in full bloom. It’s gorgeous – come and see.

The Birds and Beads – Oh yes Mr. Lincoln is a lovely rose. I don’t think I’ve found it here … well maybe at Pickerings, but at the time I was creating my rose garden it didn’t make the cut. LOL

Donna believe it or not some people have trouble with Iris’ and peonies. Partly because they need to be planted shallowly. I must admit that I didn’t plant my bearded iris’ in the best positions in my garden so perhaps you have one up on me in that front.

Becca no that’s not a palm behind it … I’d have to have a hardy palm here in Toronto (or a tropical one that I brought outdoors!). It’s the foliage of a tiger lily.
I don’t believe I’ve seen a chestnut rose. I’ll have to look that up.
I do grow cabbage and antique roses as well. My favorites are Prince Napoleon and Compte de Chambourd. Oh the scent, the scent!

Rayne I have posted a photo of Just Joey in bloom. You’ll love it! Come back and see it. BTW these photos are from last year or even the year before although Just Joey is budding and blooming now. I’ll have to take some current photos too.

Thank you everyone for your comments. Just Joey is a lovely rose and I do think it deserves the praise you’ve given it.
