I figured that since I’ve been talking about the wildlife in my garden this week that I should probably post some photos of the creatures that I’ve been encountering.

This mourning dove photo was actually taken last year at my in-laws but the four mourning doves that are hanging out in my garden naturally look quite a bit like this one.

I love the way they stare at you. Their feathers are of a lighter color around the eyes, and I think it highlights their eyes and makes them look larger and well, if truth be told, a little empty at times. They always look a little perplexed to me.
