I think icebergs just need time to get situated in a spot. I've had one for about five years (non climbing) in my front flower bed which is a bit shady and for the first year or two it didn't do all that much. This year looks like it's best year so far though. It's grown quite a bit already this year and was just jam packed with blooms.

A lot of roses take at least two years to really get established so I try not to expect too much from them right away. At least with the amount of roses that I have I can afford to be patient with the new ones. LOL

Good luck with your climber. Hopefully mine will do ok. I still haven't decided just where to put it.

I have the Climbing Iceburg. I'd been told that it's the one rose that can handle partial shade, so I planted it on the East NE corner of our house.

I've had to move it three times, trying to find a place it was happy. This summer it's growing from a very large pot in front of the stairs leading to my deck. Looks nice, and has a very faint fragrance, but boy it's a finicky thing!
