I love my New York Asters. Aren’t they just lovely? The flowers are only about an inch across and they don’t bloom until mid September or so each year.

Even though we’re nearing the end of October my New York asters are still going strong.

I’ve only got one of these plants. I must remember to look up how to divide the plant during the winter and then I can go out in the garden come spring and hopefully divide the clump into three or four pieces. I’d love to have one or two of these 2 to 3 feet tall Asters “bushes” growing at the front of the house.

I plan to get some Asters for next year, i keep forgetting they provide a greast splash of colour this time of year.

Ah, yes, they are very lovely and especially this one. I love the color. It’s good to have some late blooming ones to expand the summer feeling a bit…

I really like the coloring of the flower. I may have to see about planting some. How well do they grow in the heat and dryness? We’ve been under such an awful drought that I am afraid to plant anything that isn’t extremely hardy.

That is a beautiful New York Aster….LOVELY! I wish I could have a garden that I could tend to….maybe later on in my life when the kids grow up. Besides Vegas isn’t the easiest place to grow flowers at least the soil/compact dirt is impossible to grow anything. One day I may have a green house when I move away from here….hopefully.
