The photo of the cactus blooms is very pretty. I love Christmas cactus. My paternal grandmother could grow them wonderfully. It always bloomed at Christmas and Easter. It had hot pink blooms and was approximately 50 years old when my mother got it.

My husband bought me one the first year we were married. It did well for many years, though it didn't always have a lot of blooms. One Christmas it had over 50 blooms and then after that it never did well again. I put it out in what I thought was a shady spot one summer and it got terribly sunburned. It didn't survive.

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed my visit, as always.

I love the Christmas cactus when it flowers around this time of the year.

I'll post one in my house as well when it flowers.

I'd love to have a giant Christmas cactus - mine always seem to be these tiny ones (that's because I seem to kill them off every summer).
