I always had the mixed colors as I didn't do the aluminium thing as it might have upset other plants in that part of the garden, but I actually like them that way so it was no problem.

I think the hydrangea looks beautiful with the 2 tones. I bought one in the early spring and it said it was blue but it started blooming pink flowers. That's really wild how the soil has an effect on the color. Thanks for the tip.

I don't have hydrangea but I'm between things here in North Idaho.
I'm up with my adventure on huckleberry picking. Sorry it on the late side.

How beautiful! I really, really adore Hydrangeas although I don't believe they do very well in the heat of Arizona! I did buy one last spring though, and it was labeled a "color changing" hydrangea and was supposed to be pink or blue depending on the soil, and then green and cherry red until frost! The pictures on the label are beautiful and it was blooming and I just couldn't resist! It died back quite a bit after I first planted it but it is growing back now and I am hoping that I can actually get some blooms from it!

Hi, I wrote my GTS post last night & it's up this a.m. I'll be honest, I kind of like the pink and blue together. Looks like a Monet painting.~~dee
