Brilliant Black-eyed Susans
Wordless Wednesday The Black-Eyed Susans are still blooming quite happily in my garden. They’ll probably be one of the last flowers to stop blooming. I love their brilliant yellow color. The clump in the photograph is approximately two and a half feet wide and stands about two and a half feet tall. It would be even larger if I’d let it, but I had to pull out some of the new growth that was beginning to interfere with other plants. They’d take over the garden if I’d let them! It’s going to be very cold tonight (7 Celsius or 44 F). I hope we don’t get a frost!

Your flowers are truly gorgeous! We almost reached 100 degrees so I have a while to go before a frost!

I haven’t tried to grow Black Eyed Susans but I love to see them when I take my walks. I am already making plans for the flowers we will have for next year. This year was a little late and I was in a rush to get gardening.
My wife and I are still in the learning process and we learned a lot this year, mostly from our mistakes.
Last night was pretty chilly here as well and I was almost expecting frost but it held off for another night.

Gorgeous!!! I have a huge stand of them that the deer eat every single year. BUT this year, a few seeds must have fallen amongst the rocks in the wall. for, lo and behold, there are small Susans peeking out.

That’s beautiful. I’ve never been able to grow flowers aside from cosmos
I think I have some kind of weird touch that flowers don’t appreciate.
