The name comes from the greek word for star (like asterisk). The number of petals is always a Fibonacci number.They look fantastic - what a nice view you must have from your kitchen window. I see they every time I look out into the backyard and they look lovely each day. I really should divide the clump and plant some in another area of my garden as well. They are so pretty and they make such a lovely fall display it'd be worth having them in one or two other areas of the garden as well ... hmm maybe in the front too. Thanks for all of your comments.
