Sunny days and Snowy days
Here in Toronto it’s been snowing on and off for two days now, but we had a lovely Saturday. It reached 14 Celsius – perfect weather for taking pictures of the flowers that were blooming and the new plants coming up out of the ground.
Chris and I spent a few hours on Saturday cleaning up the front garden and the planted boulevard.
It looked great … lots of new life and my roses all survived the winter as far as I can tell. Too bad everything’s covered in a light layer of snow right now!
Here’s what my now snow covered and likely wilting crocus’ looked like on Saturday …
It was lovely to look out my Kitchen window and see all those flowers blooming in the grass. So pretty!
How’s your garden and for that matter, the weather in your area this week?

The weather here has been pretty crazy. One day it is 70 and sunny then the next it will be 30 and snowing. I just hope it warms up for good very soon.

The yellow and purple crocus are so pretty. We seldom see them here. We’ve had wonderful weather, as this is the best time of year in the Phoenix area. And, after dry several months, we got about 1/16 inch of rain last night.

Purple and yellow crocuses are always lovely to look at. Better and sunny days around here. The sakuras are up! Enjoy your week!

Its great to see such beautiful flowers. I planted quite a few before winter and as the plants were starting to bloom along come a mini cold spell and that was the flowering for this season. Hopefully better results next year. Great pictures!

My crocuses are up, but the daffodils are taking their time. I’m glad they are; they’d freeze if they came up too soon!

Here in NJ, today is GORGEOUS! Unfortunately I’m inside working but I hope to get out to the garden in a little while. Its surprising though – maybe because its been unseasonably cold – there are few trees with leaves and things are just starting to bloom.

The weather here in central Arkansas has been pretty crazy as well. Warm and sunny one day, cold and rainy the next. It gets warm just long enough for you to want to get out and plant something, but no sooner than you do, the cold comes back. I’ve decided not to put anything else in the ground until about May. lol
Lovely pics by the way!

Ah, yes. this is the best season: spring, when it all wakes up again! We have crocus blooming outside too now and it’s so refreshing. Though it seems like we could use some rain for the plants, to get them really start off the season. It’s dry in the ground, making it risky, they might get burnt if no rain is coming soon.
For once I have a flower post up:
