Apparently there’s going to be some big news coming down the line some time in the next few weeks. What could it be?

I think the best news, one that many of the bloggers who work with this company would like to hear is that they will be dropping the use of Alexa to rank our sites and use something much more realistic like Technorati ranks instead. Or perhaps they’ll give us realistic categories to classify our sites for the advertisers? I mean there isn’t an entertainment category and that’s probably what this site should fall under, same for Odd Planet which is more of a humor site than anything.

My real guess is that it’s going to be something that will increase site traffic. I know that they had been interested in purchasing the Performancing metrics site a while back but that deal fell through. Purchasing a site where a number of bloggers are all ready registered would probably end up bringing more new bloggers into the fold as many of them would probably like the chance to make some extra money by writing paid posts. In turn that would mean even more more bloggers available to write posts for the ever increasing number of advertisers. That would mean more site traffic for the advertisers in the long run.

Could that be it, or could it be something that will directly benefit the bloggers?
