		<description>When I&#039;m teaching, I like to show a student only half a song. No, I don&#039;t want to take peoples money, but I want to the student to take apart the first section of the song I&#039;m showing them and it makes them more eager for the remaining part of it. It worked for me when I was taking lessons from my guitar teacher Chris P.

The second part of your reply is well founded! I can&#039;t say it any better then you just did jason!

		<description>I&#039;ll vouch for GW Tabs as well. We&#039;ve found that in a 30 minute lesson, you can&#039;t try to figure the riffs &amp; licks out by ear or you&#039;ll run out of time before you can show the student anything.

I like GW because they also show the rhythm notation for the tab (i.e. how long to hold a note/chord). Homemade tab doesn&#039;t do this, so unless you know the song really well, you&#039;ll likely not learn it correctly.</description>
