i’ve been a guitar teacher for quite a while now. i started playing guitar hero at a friends house, and i think it was a lot of fun.
nowhere near the real thing, actually not even comparable, thats probably why i enjoy it. one things for sure, it’s addictive, just like real guitar playing!

i’ve played guitar hero and haven’t really been convinced, even after multiple goes with various levels of entertainment (with one other person, at big parties, in between those two). seems like maybe it’s for people who have a bit of the rock star in ‘em, but don’t want to actually play in a band or learn an instrument?

I played guitar hero 3 at my mates house and it was difficult at first but i slowly got better, but it can be really addictive and we spent hours trying to complete as much of it as we could and the songs they have on it are really good.

I’ve played Guitar Hero at a friend’s house when me and the Mrs have gone over for a drink. It’s fun when you’ve got a house full of drunk people, but if I had my own I wouldn’t touch it. I’ve got a perfectly good real guitar upstairs that’s doesn’t get played enough, so I can’t see wasting my time on a video game.

I’ve found if I can already play a song on guitar I have a harder time playing it on Guitar Hero as I want to play notes the game doesn’t want me to play.
