Gnome away from Home

» by in: Humor

funny gnome

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. The roaming gnome is writing home. Allen Snyder’s garden gnome disappeared from his Morgantown, West Virginia, yard in the spring. Since then he’s gotten three letters, supposedly from “Gnomey.”

The latest has a picture of the missing lawn ornament at the Pittsburgh Steelers home opener. And Gnomey wants to know why his owner never took him to any games. Snyder says he has no idea who swiped his gnome, but he suspects it might be one of his gag-loving friends.

A previous letter from Gnomey showed him in the back of a police car and asked for bail money. Snyder says he doesn’t know where Gnomey will turn up next.

If he wanders around too long he might find his way to Gnomesville and end up staying there for good. :)

The EXACT thing happened in Mass many years ago. I was fairly young when I remember seeing the news on it. Someone had stolen 2 gnomes from their neighbor, and then took them all over the world. Pictures from Paris on the Eiffel Tower, on a Gondola in Italy, it was all over the news…lol. It was hysterical. The gnomes went on a 6 month adventure! So, I’m sure this is just a copycat, but funny nonetheless!

LOL at the Travelocity comment. If I didn’t live in the country I’d buy a gnome just so I could see if it was stolen or not.
