A man in Lantana, Fla., talked his 10-year-old daughter into jumping off a 15-foot bridge into the Intracoastal Waterway to cure her fear of heights. The girl splashed down safely. Dad broke his leg. No charges were filed. “Let this be a lesson to everybody: Somebody’s tried it, and it’s not a good idea,” said police Capt. Andy Rundle.
Someones about to have one heck of a party!
Police in Marion, Wis., might be on the lookout for a huge tailgate party. Among the missing items after burglars hit the Dupont Cheese Factory were 80 pounds of garlic sausage, 80 pounds of summer sausage, 80 pounds of beef sausage, 60 pounds of snack sausage, 30 pounds of bacon, 15 pounds of smoked beef, 48 jars of herring, 70 pounds of string cheese and a 40-pound block of cheese carved into the shape of a wedding bell. The thieves also took 12 cases of beer and 16 12-packs of soda, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department.
