The Theme for this weeks Hunt is Dreaming:

interesting pile of pets

How many adorable puppies do you see in this photo? Not including the animal on top, of course.

Also, what exactly is the baby animal on top? It looks a bit like a pig, but I know I’ve seen this type of animal before, something is telling me it’s some kind of South American animal. I think?

Does anyone know?

UPDATE - It looks like the adorable little animal on top of the pile might be a baby Tapir.

Girl, I have no idea what that animal is, but can I just say this photo is adorable?

To me it’s almost as if the top one is a baby chipmunk. We see those here around my house all the time.

Inquiring minds want to know…what is it?

Well I went looking for photos of baby javelina’s and they do look similar but their fur seems to be a bit longer or rougher. Perhaps it’s a species similar to the javelina?

    Great photo for dreaming.

I think the baby is a deer of sorts. I am certain that breeds, other than the white-tail that we are used to with speckles, could have strips. There is an Autstral-Asian animal like a chubby deer. I cannot remember its name, but when it is grown its butt is dark brown and its front is light brown and its front legs are dark brown. It is possibly called a Tapir

I think Lynn’s on the right track - It might be a baby Tapir. If you are interested visit this google image search page:

I can see six puppies all dreaming. The animal on top I don’t really know what it is but he’s cute. He can pass for a puppy.
    Thanks for passing by.
