This little guy, he was just so tired, he stopped in a patch of prickly cactus for a nap.

The hedgehog blends in pretty good doesn’t he? I always thought having a pet hedgehog would be pretty cool but most of the time when I see them they are all balled up and acting defensive so I decided that maybe they weren’t the best pet for me. I’d want one that would interact a bit more- not ball up and try to hide from me in fear.

Do any of my readers have pet hedgehogs? If you do- how do you like them as a pet?

He blends right in! What an adorable photo. My parent’s had a pet hedgehog about 4 years ago or so and they loved him. We had lots of fun with him too when we went for a visit. My photo is up.

He is really cute ! We had once a hedgehog, he just moved in, without permission. He lived in our garden and came in to eat the cat food ! The cats didn’t say anything and our dog either. So I have pictures (unfortunately in an album) with the hedghog and the cat eating from the same bowl ! The only thing is, it’s not really a pet to sleep with or pet it, but why not, just try to be a fakir !
