An unfortunate incident occurred at the Memphis Zoo in Memphis Tenn. recently. Apparently a male polar bear who was trying to court a female polar bear pushed her over the edge of a 14 foot drop while playing.
Officials at the Memphis Zoo have said that the five year old female broke a leg. The curator believes that this could be the first romance that the bears have been in and it got a little awkward.
Zoo visitors report seeing the male bear tussling with the female atop the enclosures cliff before she fell.
I guess the male will have to wait until his dates leg has healed before they can try a second date.

I feel sorry for that female polar bear, but at the same time it’s kind of funny since accidents do happen.
Polar bears are awesome creatures that can sneak up on prey in complete silence. I guess they are not so nimble when it comes to courting.
