A new website has just launched called the “Bloggers Choice Awards”. You can nominate your favorite blog, even if it’s your own, for one of the various blogger awards. Nominations started earlier this week.

It appears that nominations and voting are going on at the same time. The information that I have says that “voting is between now and the end of March” however that has got to be a typo since we didn’t learn of the Blogger Choice Awards until April 2nd or 3rd. LOL

You can nominate blogs for a variety of categories. Categories include everything from Most obnoxious blogger to Hottest Mommy blogger. Hmmm they don’t have one for Hottest male blogger. Why is that? They do have a hottest Daddy blogging award, but I’m not a Daddy either. Feeling left out here …

You are allowed to nominate your own site, but I think that even if you do nominate your own site you should also take some time to nominate other sites that you enjoy.

I haven’t taken the time to nominate this site, any of my wifes sites (see the blogroll - Our sites section for a list of our blogs if you’d perhaps like to nominate one of our sites (please?)) or anyone else’s yet, but I will soon. I know of a number of blogs that would fit perfectly in some of the 33 different blog award categories.

Apparently there are no restrictions to the number of nominations that you can make. It also says that there are no restrictions to votes, but then contradicts itself by saying you can vote for as many blogs as you like, but you can only vote once per blog, per category. So I guess you can vote for all of the blogs in a category if you’d like to, but only once.

The winners of the various blogger awards will be announced on June 2nd at the PostieCon convention in Florida.

So come on … let’s get nominating some great sites so there’ll be a huge variety of blogs for voters to chose from in each category.
