As if he needed the money

Get this … U.S. Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner who already happens to be a millionaire and is heir to the Kimberly-Clark fortune has been having a lucky streak.

Back in 1997 he hit it big when he purchased a ticket for the District of Columbia Lottery. He won $250,000. As if his millions and a lucky lottery win wasn’t enough, last spring he ended up winning $1000 in the Wisconsin lottery, then he won yet another $1000 in the same lottery a few days ago.

“I got lucky,” Sensenbrenner said.

Sensenbrenner, 64, was born into a family that helped build Kimberly-Clark Corp., maker of Kleenex tissue and Scott paper towels, and he recently reported a net worth of about $11.6 million. He said he spends about $10 a week on lottery tickets.

Why do rich people even play the lottery and how do they hit the lottery so frequently like this person did? I hope he gave all that lottery money away to charity because he certainly doesn’t need it.
