Patrons of a local bar persuaded Pat Dykstra, 51, that she was too drunk to drive home. So … taking responsibility she decided to call 911 from her truck to ask for a sheriff to be sent over to follow her home.
She ended her call to the police dispatcher by explaining how dangerous it was for her to be driving while on the phone!
when the deputies eventually caught up with Dykstra her alcohol reading was .14 which is well over the maximum permitted.
Looks like those concerned bar patrons should have taken away her keys! Luckily she didn’t get into or cause an accident.

Here’s Roger the rat. He was caught in the act of sneaking a drink before his big date at the nightclub with his lady friend.
Meanwhile, his girlfriend was a little confused. She thought they were meeting at the bar. Her she is waiting for her man:

Hopefully these two tipsy rodents managed to meet up later in the evening ….

This weeks Theme is Drink
This is Grossman’s Tavern in Toronto:

It’s where we’d hang out every once in a while back in my college days. Of course, it’s a bar, so when we’d hang out there we’d have ourselves a drink or two or three … You get the picture?
The bar didn’t always look so nice. They just had it painted a year or so ago. Trish and I, and my brother happened to be downtown last summer wandering around with the rest of my family as they shopped. We’d had enough so we stopped in for a drink. It’s still a dive inside!
We sat outside on the patio, and much to my amazement the side wall of the tavern has these great murals of musicians on the side:

Even though it’s a bit of dive inside it’s still a pretty cool place to check out. Drop in sometime if you’re in Toronto.
Hey, it’s St. Patrick’s Day today. Hmmm maybe we should go to Grossmans or some other Pub and have ourselves some green beer?
