treeface.gif We’re always looking for interesting things to put in our garden. Now I only wish that we had a big tree in our front or back yard because I really like these Tree Faces. They have all kinds, so if you always thought your tree had character - find one that suits it.

Hmmm, my parents have a lot of trees in their yard, and they have a lot of birds too, maybe I could get them a tree face bird feeder as a gift. Yeah, I think I might just do that.

Aerosol sets off alarms

They must have some sensitive fire alarms in Berlin Germany. Recently a group of young German women used so much spray deodorant in the North Sea youth Hostel’s bathroom that it set off the fire alarm. The local fire brigade responded to the alarms rushing into to rescue the young women.

“The fumes of the pleasant-smelling deodorant were so intense that they drifted up to the ceiling and set off a fire detector,” said Volker Buttgereit of the Buesum police force.

“Hopefully the girls will get by with a little less spray next time,” said Buttgereit, admitting to being surprised that the heavy use of deodorant set off the alarm.

Embarassing outdoor washrooms

Outdoor public toilets

Chongqing China has begun to use outdoor toilets on it’s famous “Foreigners’ Street”. The pubic toilets cover a mans privates but not his face, which has obviously aroused some curiosity. Local guards and employees in the area have used the outdoor restrooms, but most men find it much too embarrassing to use. The womens version of the outdoor bathroom covers the person entirely.

Learn more about the Uk’s famous Cities

Many people across North America have a British background somewhere in their line of ancestors. Have you ever wondered about the towns and cities that your relatives came from or wanted to learn more about the history and events of those towns? I’ve just discovered a website called Heritagecities.com that discusses the history of some of Englands most famous towns and also lists things that a visitor might do in these cities if they were to visit them.

Cities such as Stratford, the renowned home of William Shakespeare. The city has five historic houses that are linked to the Bard, two royal Shakespeare company theatres and many other attractions that would make it a worthwhile visit.

Then there are the cities of Bath with it’s great beauty, hot springs and Roman Baths. Visit Heritagecities to learn more about cities such as Chester, Oxford, Brighton, York and the history and heritage of these cities.
