Get a look at this barbecue chefs outfit!

Holy Toledo! I sure hope that those of you who were out celebrating Canada Day or the 4th of July this weekend had this guy firing up your BBQ!

Take a look at where he stored the mustard!

I’m not sure what event this was for, but you can see that some of the people in the background are also dressed up in wild outfits. I’d love to know what it was that they were celebrating.

Man is hopping mad over losing leg!

In November two North Carolinian men fought over a bizarre custody dispute. The battle wasn’t over children. Uh huh … it was over an amputated leg!

John Wood missed payments at a storage facility where his barbecue was kept and the item was auctioned off. Unfortunately for him he forgot that he’d kept his old limb inside the barbecue.

Shannon Whisnant, the BBQ’s new owner has been busy charging curious residents of Maiden to see the dismembered appendage. She plans to keep it and she’s threatened legal action if Mr. Wood attempts to reclaim it.

Now isn’t that bizarre?

Grill food perfectly with a talking wireless meat thermometer

I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned it here, but chances are that if you also read my wifes site, Tricia’s Musings, you already know that we love nothing more than a great barbecue. Especially if the weather is nice enough that we can have dinner outside in the garden on our patio. That’s just the ultimate for me.

I like my meat well done, but my wife usually likes hers medium rare, and as much as I say I enjoy grilling I have to admit that I don’t always get the meat, particularly for my wife, just right. That could be because I get distracted talking to the neighbors and uhm … her medium rare steak quickly becomes well done. Oops!

Now I’ve just learned that Brookstone makes a wireless meat thermometer that is said to help you grill your food perfectly. I think I’m going to have to get one of these wireless thermometers because it sounds perfect for a “not so attentive” griller like myself since it has a wireless belt monitor that tells you when your food is cooked to your liking.

How perfect is that? I could be sitting at the patio talking with friends, or at the front of the house watering the lawn and chatting with neighbors and still cook the food perfectly. The wireless meat thermometer has a range of 300 feet and Grill alert will let me know when the food is done. It even talks! Apparently it will announce out loud when the food is done.

Ha I can already see the look on our elderly neighbors face when the thermometer starts talking.

I just showed the wireless meat thermometer to my wife and she’s already agreed that we should get one.

I guess this might end up being an early birthday present for myself.

This is going to be great. I can talk to our friends and neighbors as much as I want while I’m cooking and the food will always be done just right. No more burned food for my wife.
