One of the blogging companies that I do a fair amount of work for is holding it’s first ever blogging conference in just a few months. PostieCon 07 is touted as being the largest gathering of bloggers from around the world.
PostieCon is using the theme “You’re a Rock Star” for this event because it believes that bloggers and Internet personalities are an important part of this information age, and that any blogger, big or small, could become a “rock star” in the world of bloggers.
The conference has been developed in order to educate bloggers on how to build site traffic and readership. You can’t gain noterity in the world of blogging if no one knows you’re out there.
Some of the worlds biggest bloggers will be speaking at the convention and by attending you can use the information that they give you to become a better blogger. Bloggers voices are being heard around the world. We influence the media and new trends. By learning from the top bloggers you can use their knowledge, experience and perspective to rise to the top and make your own blogging voice heard as well.
The events start on Thursday May 31 with a pre-conference “Hello my name is … ” meet and greet in the city of Orlando Florida. The next two days, June 1st through June 2nd will be filled with speeches from top bloggers, meal breaks and social events where you can meet fellow bloggers. The PostieCon event will end with a dinner and the Bloggers Choice Awards on the evening of Saturday June 2nd.
