Get this … German police have a nationwide search out for a convicted drug dealer who escaped from jail by hiding in a cardboard box to be taken away for recycling plan to issue an international arrest warrant for him.
A Viersen police spokesman said the 37-year-old Turkish national, whose seven-year prison sentence for drug dealing runs to 2011, had escaped from the Willich prison by hiding in a cardboard box about to be picked up by a recycling truck.
“Shortly after the truck that he riding in got beyond prison walls, he slit open the box and then cut open the truck’s tarpaulin to escape,” said Wolfgang Wiese, Viersen police spokesman. “I’ve never seen anything like this.”
Police have been searching in vain for the fugitive. An international search warrant is being prepared in the event he is not found soon.

Betty Kratzke finally figured out what was disturbing the flowers near her driveway all summer. She discovered that 44 baby snapping turtles were crawling around her yard trampling her plants.
“The turtles are the cutest little thing,” said the Jamestown, N.D., resident. She also went on to state that she was relieved it wasn’t a muskrat or raccoon wrecking her flowers.
She scooped up the little snappers in a cardboard box and dropped them off at nearby James River.
Good thing she moved them. She wouldn’t think they were so cute as they got bigger!

A St. Louis, the Rittenbergs, got a surprise when they got home and open the box that was supposed to have contained a brand new Sony Camcorder that they had purchased at a Best Buy store for $1600.
They opened the box and found a bottle of pasta sauce inside rather than the camcorder.
How mad would you be if that happened to you?
When the couple contacted the store regarding their find, store officials told them that the box was sealed so the switch couldn’t have happened in their store, and that it must have happened at the Sony warehouse.
Best Buy officials haven’t made a decision yet on how to handle the dispute.
The Rittenbergs say that they are not thieves and that they filed a police report upon making their saucy discovery.
