Mooses? I don’t think that there’s a plural for moose …

We took this photo of a metal moose while attending an Art fair here in Toronto. This moose is made out of a recycled oil tank!

This second moose was found in front of a Chicago building.

This is a very tall water fall. It’s in Chicago, downtown. The water has a long way to fall before it reaches the wading pools below it.

There are two of these water falls in a square in Chicago. I believe it’s in Millennium Park. In the are that the two fountains face each other they literally display peoples faces.

The art museum had a project last year where you could go in and have your face filmed. They asked participants to close their eyes and purse their lips. When that image is displayed on the fountains water comes out of the mouth. It’s very cool.

Cub Fans name their baby after the famous field

If you think you know a sports addict you haven’t seen anything yet! A Chicago couple who are die hard Cubs fans named their child Wrigley Fields!

His parents have said that it’s ok if he uses his middle name, Alexander, when he’s older but for now the newborn goes by the name of Wrigley. I suppose that’s an appropriate enough name for a newborn, but once this child’s a few years old that name won’t fly. Of course his last name is Fields.

The Michigan City, Indiana couple are big fans of the Cubs and they’ve had this name planned for years.

Spokeswoman for the Cubs, Katelyn Thrall has said that the name might be a first as the team has no record of any other children who’ve been named Wrigley. However there have been a few children named after famous Cubs such as Zambrano, and Ryne.

This weeks Theme is Shiny

DSC00831

Last summer we went to Chicago to visit my brother and his family. It was a long drive back and forth and a very short visit. We were there to go to a concert and well visit with family.

During one of the days we were there we drove into downtown Chicago and proceeded to take our own walking tour of the city. This shiny moose was one of the great sculptures that we saw and photographed.

We loved Chicago BTW. It’s very much like Toronto. If you ever get to go to either city you’ll now have an idea of what the other one is like.
