In June a Reno Nevada homicide detective, David Jenkins was sitting inside his unmarked car – one equipped with emergency lights on the dash and a police radio chattering away) when 19 year old Mercedes Green hopped into the car.
Green propositioned the detective for sex saying “You’re not the police are you?” as she propositioned him. The detective asked her “What do you think?” and she replied “I didn’t think so”.
Once she was arrested Mercedes explained that the didn’t think police were allowed to wear glasses so that’s why she didn’t believe he was an officer of the law.
Hmm if she didn’t think he was a cop I wonder what she thought the police radio and emergency light were for when she saw them? Duh!

70-yr-old thief bites cop to escape
London: A 70-year-old shoplifter tried to evade capture by biting an arresting officer before realizing he’d left his dentures at home. Pensioner Gustav Ernegger turned on the policeman when he grabbed him as he ran out of a clothes shop in Braunschweig, Germany, after stealing a shirt.
But instead of sinking his teeth into the officer’s arm, he was only able to leave a wet mark from his gums.
Police spokesman Gunther Brauner said: “He tried to bite the officer several times, but had forgotten to put his false teeth in and so was unable to cause him any harm.”
I wonder if the police charged the man with assault, as in, attempting to harm a police officer?
