This is what we should do to stupid criminals like the guy below:
It’s bad enough being a criminal but being a dumb one must be really bad – You know your robber is really stupid when he tries to rob you by pretending his extended finger is a gun. Yep. That’s what an unidentified man who fled the scene did after an unsuccessful attempt at robbing a Git-N-Go convenience store in Des Moines Iowa this past December.
His robbery attempt was foiled when the clerk noticed that the gunmans thumb was visible from his pocket. He was holding his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun. The clerk argued with the man, who insisted that he really did have a gun in his pocket.
I guess the guy fled when he realized the gig was up.

Did you hear the one about the burglar who was arrested but managed to escape?
Brian Valentino had been arrested for burglary and as he was being transported to the Onondaga County Jail in Syracuse last week he kicked out the back window of the police car and dove out of the opening.
Even though he was still handcuffed he managed to run a short distance to a nearby building. He entered the building and ran down a hallway and hid behind a door.
Unfortunately Valentino’s hiding place was inside the County Sheriffs office. Valentino must have missed the big yello star on the entrance when he was looking for a hiding place. He was discovered when a retired deputy working part time in the building noticed the handcuffed and snow covered man running into the lobby.
The deputy held Valentino down until the police men that he’d escaped from entered the building and collected him again. Naturally the man now faces charges of attempted escape as well as the original burglary charges.

I often write dumb criminal stories here but I think this is the first case of a dumb car jacker.
Claude King, 31, apparently carjacked an SUV, crashed it twice and end up getting lost as he escaped the crime scene. He then proceeded to call the police from a Palm Springs Florida pay phone, confessing that he stole the GMC Envoy last Tuesday night.
“Um, I committed a crime,” he told the police dispatcher. “I stole a vehicle.”
He was unable to tell the dispatcher where he and the vehicle was located when he asked for officers to respond to his location. He told the dispatcher “I couldn’t even tell you,” he said. “I don’t even know where I’m at.”
The Boca Raton police eventually found King waiting on a curb. He’s now being held without bail in the Palm Beach County Jail.
