You just have to wonder how some of our elderly made it to their 80’s, 90’s or even into their hundreds with all the bad habits some of them have.
I’m sure that must make some people wonder if some of the stuff that we’re told is so bad really is all that bad for us? Yes I’m pretty sure smoking really is bad for us - especially with all the chemicals in the tobacco these days, but you have to wonder about some of the other stuff when you see a picture like this don’t you?
Have you ever been driving on a highway and noticed items like mattresses, box springs or other large objects on the road or at the side of the road? If you’re like me you’re probably glad that you weren’t driving behind a vehicle when they lost those items, right?
Well, an elderly motorcyclist wasn’t so lucky. Last month a motorcycle rider was critically injured when a boxed bathtub fell off a pickup truck.
Wow, hit by a bathtub. That man will have a story to tell! When he was hit on a Louisiana interstate he was thrown from his bike and landed on the grass median. When helped arrived he was taken to a local hospital. I’m uncertain as to what his injuries were but I’d imagine that he’d have a few broken bones at the very least.
Naturally the pickup driver was charged with driving with an unsecured load and booked for negligent injury.

Last week my wife found the Petsmart bandanna that we were given when we had our Labrador Retriever puppy groomed in January.
I guess she wanted to see if Midnight would tolerate the bandanna on her head like a scarf. To our surprise the scarf stayed on for about an hour before Midnight had either had enough of was sick of us laughing at her.
Doesn’t she look totally pathetic? She reminds me of the elderly women in our neighborhood (mostly Macedonians and Greek) who often wear scarves on their heads.
Here’s another shot:

Poor thing. We won’t do that to her again. Promise.

This weeks theme is Music

I know my wife has talked about our elderly neighbor, Sofie, on a few of her sites. She calls Sofie her stalker because she follows my wife around whenever she’s outside and even stares at her from her windows.
She’s a cool lady though. She’s Macedonian and likes to pretend she doesn’t understand English very well, but she does … oh she does.
Anyway … one day I was in my backyard playing guitar and I got an idea for a photo. I ran back in the house and got one of my other guitars and coaxed Sofie into holding it. It does look like we are playing music, doesn’t it?
Her kids and grandkids just love this photo.
