Anyone planning a vacation in Germany this year? It’d be great to visit in time for Octoberfest wouldn’t it? Beer, sausages, snitchel, and sauerkraut. Yum. If you are planning on going to Octoberfest I hope that you already looked for Hotels in Berlin. I actually think the festivals on right now. Oops. Well maybe next year for Octoberfest then. How about touring some castles or going to some of the famous spa resorts in Germany then?
I’d like to visit Vienna someday. It sounds like such a beautiful city. I know that I’d like to go on some of the walking tours in Vienna and perhaps even do some wine tasting too. I’m not sure that it’d be a good idea to combine the two activities though!
I’ve heard that there’s some beautiful Hotels in Vienna. The Bristol Hotel looks like a castle. It’s amazing! I think I’d want to stay there if I were going to Vienna. It’s a full service hotel from what I’ve read.
Have you been to Europe? Maybe Germany? What Hotels in Berlin would you recommend? As I said earlier theres a lot of reasons to visit Berlin, Germany and I hope that one day well visit that city as well as Vienna and a few other European must see cities as well.

Have you ever had the pleasure of attending a Banana Derby? I haven’t but it sure sounds like a lot of fun.
Haven’t heard of the Banana Derby? Well it’s a show consisting of monkeys riding dogs in the Banana Derby race course. If you’ve ever been to one you likely came across it at a local fair or festival. I’ll bet you it was free to watch too.
If your town is planning their annual festival or fair it might be worth letting them know that they can request that the Banana Derby be brought in as a self contained attraction. It’s certainly a unique and unusual event and I’m sure it would draw big crowds.
Just imagine all of the parents bringing their kids to the Banana Derby, building memories and taking pictures that will last forever. It would be a day to remember.
The Banana Derby always draws the media to it’s shows too. For fair and festival planners it would be great to be able to publicize your event with the inclusion of the Banana Derby, as the festival would probably end up getting more media attention. When the Banana Derby was on tour with the Barnes and Baily circus in the recent past they ended up being featured on WVVA-TV.
Give your fair or festival a little more flair by adding the Banana Derby to your list of attractions.
Did you hear about this? New York police are on the lookout for a missing dinosaur, last seen over the weekend in an affluent Long Island suburb. Dinosaurs like the rich life don’t you know?
The life-size fiberglass replica of a carnivorous Deinonychus went missing from a local festival.
“It’s a very unusual theft, and because of that, we’re hoping the public will spot it somewhere,” said police detective Lieutenant John May. The report said that someone had sawn through a metal pole attaching the three-meter-long (10-foot-long) model to a trailer. I’m sure no one would miss it if they saw it considering how big it is.
“You’d definitely notice it, if someone rode by with it,” said Cindy Smith, spokeswoman for the Oyster Bay Festival.
There doesn’t seem to be any reports that the dinosaur is armed and dangerous - just missing. Must be a friendly giant. LOL
Odd Sport Cancelled:
The 30-year-old traditional festival of eel-“bowling” in the fishing village of Lyme Regis, England, was canceled in July after complaints from an animal rights activist that it was disrespectful to eels.In the ritual, teams of anglers stand on platforms and swing a giant (but dead) conger eel, attached to the ceiling, to see who will be the last person standing.
Said a spokesman for the charitable event, which raises money for lifeboat crews, “But it’s a dead conger, for Pete’s sake. I shouldn’t think the conger could care one way or another.”
How on earth do the English think up these crazy “Sports”?
Creating a new crime to do the time:
Leon Howard Matter was arrested in Sandusky, Ohio, in August for sending a letter containing “anthrax” (though it turned out to be harmless powder) to the local FBI office.
He told agents the reason he did it was because he was facing earlier child pornography charges and didn’t want to go to prison for that because he’d get beaten up. Threatening the FBI, he reasoned, has a better cachet.
