A curious Emu was intrigued by some golfers recently. The giant bird followed two golfers for nine holes at an Elma, Wash., course, watching every swing and walking around them.
“It was strange,” said Sue McMeekin. “She’s awful big and she made me nervous.”
Course employees called police, who determined the bird belonged to a neighbor and had escaped.
Wordless Wednesday

On Friday we went out with my wifes family to a Blue Jays baseball game at the Skydome or what’s now called the Rogers Center here in Toronto.
When we were leaving the game we passed a few guys playing music on the walkway leading back to the street from the stadium. One of the guys was playing an accordion and as you can see from the photo above it was a lively piece of music. People spontaneously began to dance as they passed the small band.
Who says we don’t know how to have fun here in Toronto?
Hey, soon you’ll be able to go to a Los Angeles Dodgers game and get stuffed! The Dodgers are planing on introducing all you can eat seats next season. Anyone sitting in one of these “special” seats will be able to have all the Dodger Dogs that they can eat.
The all you can eat seats will be located in the right-field pavilion, and those purchasing tickets for these seats will be able to have as many franks, peanuts, popcorn, nachos and sodas that they want. The seats are going to cost $35 in advance, and $40 on game day. Beer, ice cream and candy will still be sold for regular prices to the special seat holders.
I’ve never been much of a better but I do follow Football, baseball and hockey games and occasionally enter into friendly bets with friends. I do know a lot of people that bet seriously on games, well on just about anything really. I guess it can be addictive, and maybe I’m just lucky that it never caught on too much with me.
I did find a site that I’m told is one of the oldest sports handicapping websites online today. Jimfeist.com offers Football Picks and full game analysis on all major games and sports including basketball, football, hockey, baseball, horse racing, golf and many more. Free picks are offered daily as well in order to showcase the handicapper’s talents at calling the game’s winner.
Jimfeist.com has everything you need to stay ahead of the game. There are several sections to the site including scores and stats, Proline, Sports Picks and even contests - there are four active contests right now. You can also get workbooks and magazines, sports schedules, schedule updates, league reports, plus information from Linetracker.com and OffshoreConnection.com.
I know I’m going to have to tell a few friends about this site so they can get their sports picks. I’ll probably never see them anymore once I tell them about this site ’cause they’ll be too busy hanging out on it doing all their sports betting.
