Can you imagine what this small hedgehog must be thinking? Momma, is that you? My how big you’ve gotten lately .. and greener too? I always wonder what animals think when they see a fake one of their own … do they know it’s not real or do they think it’s another of their kind?

I think these hedgehog babies might be a little confused. It seems they think this shoe brush is their mother.

This weeks Photo Scavenger Hunt Theme is TIME This little guy, he was just so tired, he stopped in a patch of prickly cactus for a nap. The hedgehog blends in pretty good doesn’t he? I always thought having a pet hedgehog would be pretty cool but most of the time when I see them they are all balled up and acting defensive so I decided that maybe they weren’t the best pet for me. I’d want one that would interact a bit more- not ball up and try to hide from me in fear. Do any of my readers have pet hedgehogs? If you do- how do you like them as a pet?
