Woman finds bag filled with $65,000!

What would you do if you found a bag filled with enough money to make your life easier?

Debbie Cole of Largo found a plastic bag on the road stuffed with $65,000! What did she do? She immediately returned it to the authorities.

The money had fallen off a Loomis armored car about a half hour before Debbie found it near the Pinellas County solid waste operations facility where she’s employed. She actually thought it was a turtle on the road when she first spotted the bag.

The bag was found at about 7 a.m and it was filled with enough $50 and $100 bills to have paid her salary for two years!

It’s still unclear how the bag happened to have fallen from the truck.

Her boss, Bob Hauser, is unable to give her a bonus or raise for her good deed, but he might arrange for some extra time off.

Cole grew up in Long Island and she says she was raised to be honest. When she was asked if she even thought of keeping the money she stated “Everyone keeps asking me that,” Cole said. “To be honest, no. It didn’t even cross my mind.”

Well good for her! I hope Loomis gives her a bonus for turning in the money.

So - what would you have done had it been you that found all that money? Be honest.

Our Disclosure Policy

If you have ads on your site- google adsense, text link ads or if you write blog posts that advertise for other companies and websites - you might want to create a disclosure policy to post somewhere on your blog. You can tell your readers exactly where you stand on the issue of paid ads and making money on your website in one easy to create statement.

I just created my own Disclosure policy using the Disclosure Policy Generator. The generator was very easy to use - 6 steps I believe. Simply choose the statements that best describe your sites policy get to the end and click finish. Then all you need to do is copy and paste the disclosure policy that you’ve pasted into a post or a page on your site. You can change the wording once you copy the disclosure that you’ve created to suit your sides description better.

If you scroll down to the bottom of my site - yep right there under ODD PAGES - yep that’s it, click the plus sign beside the words “Odd Pages” and you’ll find my disclosure policy in there. Read it and let me know what you think of it. I think it’s a great way of being open and honest with your readers.
