World Hunger Conference raided by the hungry

At a fancy catered-food affair for the World Social Forum meeting at the five-star Windsor Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, in January (where participants ate between discussion sessions on, among other topics, world hunger), street kids who normally beg for food money downtown raided the facility and picked the tables clean.

How ironic eh? I bet the tables were covered with fancy foods that the poor and hungry almost never get a chance to eat – at a world social forum meeting on world hunger of all places! They should have been offering that food to some of the hungry in the area to begin with, well I think they should have.
