Cub Fans name their baby after the famous field

If you think you know a sports addict you haven’t seen anything yet! A Chicago couple who are die hard Cubs fans named their child Wrigley Fields!

His parents have said that it’s ok if he uses his middle name, Alexander, when he’s older but for now the newborn goes by the name of Wrigley. I suppose that’s an appropriate enough name for a newborn, but once this child’s a few years old that name won’t fly. Of course his last name is Fields.

The Michigan City, Indiana couple are big fans of the Cubs and they’ve had this name planned for years.

Spokeswoman for the Cubs, Katelyn Thrall has said that the name might be a first as the team has no record of any other children who’ve been named Wrigley. However there have been a few children named after famous Cubs such as Zambrano, and Ryne.

Vengeful Gravestones

It seems like a dangerous activity if you’re in the business of vandalizing church cemeteries.

In April a man vandalizing a cemetery by knocking over gravestones in Lilburn, GA was injured when one of the gravestones fell on him. His leg was crushed under the weight of the heavy stone and he lay on the ground wailing for two hours until someone came and rescued him.

You have to wonder if any passerby thought the cemetery was haunted that night.

Then, on May 6th, Michael Schreiber, 22, was in the midst of vandalizing a Calumet Park cemetery in Merrillville, Ind., when his legs were broken by a half ton gravestone that fell on him. He couldn’t call out for help as he was unconscious.

He’d already knocked over 14 gravestones when the half ton one fell on him.

It was about time one fought back.

Strange incidents

A woman in Waterville, Maine claimed on November 10th that she suspected that someone had sabotaged her washing machine. She reported her suspicions to the police and officers went out to investigate. After a short investigation it was determined that an unbalanced load of laundry had cause the machine to shake. Now isn’t that a good use of police services?

This man had a little bit more reason to report a burglary to the police in Muncie Indiana on November 4th. He’d returned from the hospital on that day and he found that his 36 inch Samsung TV was missing. It had been replaced with an RCA TV that happened to be missing it’s power cord. Knick Nacks and other items had been placed around the new TV in an attempt to disguise the difference. Hmmm I bet his thieves will turn out to be someone he knows or someone that’s been in his house before.
